As well as providing a detailed overview of the DataLase CASEMARK product and the company itself, the new brochure demonstrates DataLase’s changing market focus from a technology company to a total solutions provider.
The new all-inclusive document provides an in-depth description of the main benefits offered by DataLase CASEMARK compared with traditional print-and-apply labelling techniques. This groundbreaking solution uses the DataLase process — featuring an additive or coating that changes colour when exposed to a low-power CO2 laser. Requiring no inks on the production line, ribbons or applicators while being virtually maintenance free and achieving almost 100% production uptime, DataLase CASEMARK has the potential to achieve substantial cost savings of around 30–50% for a medium volume line with a potential investment payback time of less than a year. Furthermore, this innovative process ensures high resolution barcode readability as well as late pack customization capability at any point in the packaging line and even within the retail chain.
DataLase CASEMARK is a non contact laser imaging process, meaning that there is no physically or thermally induced print head wear. It can be applied directly to the secondary packaging substrate so that the laser marked image becomes integral to the pack. Moreover, wastage is reduced as there is no label backing to dispose of. The DataLase CASEMARK coating is available in chemical resistant, tamper resistant and tamper evident format.
DataLase is a fast growing technology company developing patented, innovative, fully integrated laser marking solutions to serve a diverse range of sectors including product identification and anticounterfeiting. With the expansion of its operations in Europe and the USA to service its rapidly growing customer base, DataLase has adopted a radical new market driven philosophy to exceed customer expectations.
